Appealing for Voluntary Donation on Gate Construction

Dear Homeowners,

The CHAIN is being asked by the proponents of the bridge going to Happyville to have it opened as soon as possible since it has long been completed. Unfortunately, the necessary structures like gates and boom which we expected the government to provide to secure our perimeters, are no longer forthcoming due to the construction of the root of the basketball court.

We fully understand the position of the government because of the magnitude of the budget that has been allocated for the roof. Although it was a partly in exchange for the big area of our open space which was taken away from us. So as to keep the goodwill of the barangay and the city government and to express our appreciation for what they have done, CHAIN has decided to open the bridge but only after we have constructed the gates and the boom. The boom has been constructed already. However the construction of the gate will cost the CHAIN more or less P12,000.00 which is not anticipated and for which no budget has been allocated.

This is the reason we appeal to you, dear homeowners, who we believe have the best interest of our community in your mind and heart. CHAIN decided to make this direct appeal instead of launching another fund raising because of lack of time. We thought that instead of selling tickets for the raffle, voluntary donation of whatever amount would be better. All of us know our financial capacity and the level of generosity we can extend to the community. Please understand that CHAIN cannot finish this project without your usual cooperation and care.
