Open or Gated Community: Request for poll and inputs

Dear Homeowners,

We are glad to inform you that the CHAIN Board is successful in making Prime Water to agree with Maynilad for a proper turnover in case we continue to allow Maynilad to lay pipings to have them officially be our water utility.

However, there are costs that we need to pay Maynilad for the pipe-laying implementation. The initial meeting with them has resulted with gathering information in pipe-laying layout plans and estimated costs.

We were able to pull out information that it may cost us an estimated of ~P12,000,000 for laying out pipes that extend to about 1.9 kilometers subdivision-wide which are payable in 5 years. However this is not yet the final cost. It may be cheaper or more expensive.

However, we have options to make pipe-laying free of charge by having the city government shoulder the costs. And this is to make our village an "Open Community". Currently we are categorized as "Gated Community" by HLURB.

Being an Open or Gated community has its own merits and pitfalls. Please view the following scenario.

We would like you to please answer the Facebook poll below so the board will have an idea about what our community thinks on our solution to change our water utility.
